Our client is searching for a passionate and detail-driven Aircraft Painter to join their growing Engineering Department and help deliver world-class aircraft finishes that meet the highest aviation standards. As an Aircraft Painter, you’ll play a vital role in protecting and transforming aircraft with precision, craftsmanship, and pride. From surface preparation and spray application to polishing and finishing, every task you complete contributes directly to safety, quality, and the professional image of our fleet.
The Aircraft Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing aircraft surfaces in accordance with aviation industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role ensures aircraft exteriors are protected, visually compliant with branding specifications, and maintained to the highest safety and quality standards.

Your role as an aircraft painter:
- Preparing aircraft surfaces including sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming
- Mixing paints and coatings to precise specifications
- Applying paint using specialised spray equipment
- Inspecting finished work to ensure exceptional quality and compliance
- Carrying out touch-ups, repainting, polishing, and bright-work finishing
- Removing old paint and corrosion safely and effectively
- Re-sealing aircraft panels removed during maintenance
- Maintaining accurate material and maintenance records
- Working closely with engineers, maintenance teams, and supervisors
- Ensuring all work complies with safety, environmental, and aviation regulations
Skills required for this role
- Proven painting experience within aviation or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of paint systems, coatings, and finishing techniques
- Experience using spray guns and preparation equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong awareness of health & safety and hazardous material handling
- Team-focused attitude with excellent communication skills
- Aviation maintenance or painting certifications desirable
