Salary: £33k to £35k per annum plus overtime available
Hours: Monday–Friday (shifts as required)
About the Role
We are seeking motivated Assembly Operatives to join a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing team in Denham. You will play a key role in assembling precision components and contributing to high-quality products that meet strict safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build detailed assemblies including threaded inserts, locking pins, crimping, taper reaming, and thread locking
- Riveting using manual, orbital, and spin riveting techniques
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions accurately
- Carry out self-inspections and quality checks to ensure standards are met
- Support Lean initiatives, 5S activities, and continuous improvement programs
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and adhere to health and safety regulations
Skills & Experience Required:
- Basic manufacturing or engineering background
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings
- Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to concentrate
- Familiarity with hand tools, measuring equipment, and riveting techniques
- Basic PC skills; SAP experience desirable
- Team player with the ability to work independently and a willingness to learn
Desirable:
- Mechanical apprenticeship or relevant qualifications
- Experience with adhesives or aerospace assembly processes
