About the Role
Join us as a Metal Assembly Technician in our specialist Pipes Department, where you’ll help build the life-saving components used in world-famous aerospace ejector seats.
This is hands-on, expert-level metal work — perfect for someone who thrives in a technical environment and enjoys seeing real craftsmanship come to life.
Your work will directly contribute to equipment used during mission-critical moments. Every component you assemble matters.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Metal Assembly Technician
- Cutting, shaping, and preparing metal pipes using electric saws and bending machinery
- Hand-fitting pipes into assemblies with absolute precision
- Using digital measuring equipment to ensure accuracy
- Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
- Inspecting completed work and completing quality certification
- Maintaining tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure top performance
What We’re Looking For in a Metal Assembly Technician
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing
- Understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH, and quality procedures
- Team-focused, proactive, and proud of producing top-quality work
- SAP experience desirable
- Mechanical apprenticeship or similar training is a bonus
