Assembly Operative
Department: Manufacturing – Assembly
Location: Uxbridge
Reports to: Cell Leader
Job Purpose:
To work as part of an assembly production team to assemble and inspect complex sub-assemblies, including Powered Retraction Units, Snubbers, and Auto Deployment Units, Utilize technical drawings, build plans, and acceptance test procedures to ensure quality standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assemble products using specified equipment and tooling.
- Inspect work using gauges, rulers, and tape measures to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Build plans to assemble components in the correct sequence.
- Conduct self-inspection and apply inspector’s stamp where authorized.
- Report equipment issues to the Cell Leader and ensure all tools are in working order.
- Use SAP for recording component locations, non-conforming products, and testing results.
- Complete tasks within allocated run times to meet delivery schedules.
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
- Participate in Lean initiatives such as 5S and Continuous Improvement programs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
What can I earn?
Salary: £29,400
Location: Uxbridge
Shifts: Monday to Thursday 08:00 am to 04:30 pm, Friday early finish.
Full-Time Permanent role.
Preferred UK Driving License
