An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Assembly Operative to join a world-leading aerospace engineering manufacturer based near Uxbridge, UB9. As a Mechanical Assembly Operative, you will manufacture and assemble precision pipe components used in critical aerospace products.
The Mechanical Assembly Operative role includes:
- Cutting, bending and assembling precision pipework
- Using pipe bending machines, form blocks and measuring equipment
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
- Using engineering hand tools to assemble and adjust components
- Carrying out self-inspection to ensure quality standards are met
- Following SOPs, Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
- Supporting Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities
To be considered for the Mechanical Assembly Operative role, you must have:
- Previous mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Stable employment history
- Basic PC skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
