Assembly Operative
Location: Uxbridge, Middlesex
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum
Position: Permanent, Full-Time
MTS Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Assembly Operative to join a leading aerospace manufacturing company based in Denham, Middlesex.
This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for an Assembly Operative with strong manufacturing experience, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work from technical drawings and specifications. The successful Assembly Operative will be working on high-quality components and complex sub-assemblies within a precision engineering environment.
The Role
As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for assembling, inspecting and checking components to ensure all work is completed to the highest possible standard.
Duties will include:
- Assembling components and complex sub-assemblies from technical drawings and specifications
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately
- Carrying out self-inspection and quality checks on completed work
- Using hand tools, gauges and measuring equipment
- Handling materials, goods and components carefully and safely
- Monitoring tools and equipment, reporting any issues with calibration or replacement requirements
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures
- Working as part of a skilled manufacturing and engineering team
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as an Assembly Operative within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using hand tools, gauges and measuring equipment
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of quality standards and self-inspection
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Experience within aerospace, defence, automotive, mechanical assembly or precision engineering would be highly advantageous
