We have a great  opportunity for Mechanical Assembly Operatives to work in the Aerospace Manufacturing Industry, based in Denham – Buckinghamshire – Must have own transport and we do not offer sponsorship.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Assembly Operative to work on precision-engineered safety equipment used within advanced aerospace systems. Successful candidates will join a skilled production team where quality, teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

As a Mechanical Assembly Operative, you will support a range of manufacturing and assembly processes using engineering drawings, hand tools and measuring equipment to produce high-quality assemblies to strict industry standards.

We are also seeking individuals interested in progressing their engineering career within manufacturing, assembly and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fit mechanical components to engineering specifications
  • Work within Gun, Sheet Metal or Pipe assembly sections
  • Use hand tools including spanners, hacksaws, files and assembly jigs
  • Carry out pipe fitting, pipe forming and adjustment work where required
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
  • Use measuring equipment including calipers, rulers and digital measuring devices
  • Complete inspections in line with quality standards
  • Ensure all tools and equipment remain fit for purpose
  • Follow health & safety procedures and COSHH regulations
  • Support continuous improvement within manufacturing operations

Skills & Experience needed for this role:

  • Manufacturing or engineering background preferred
  • Experience using engineering hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Good attention to detail and quality standards
  • Basic IT skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Desirable Experience

  • Pipe bending or riveting machinery
  • Swaging experience
  • Adhesive application experience
  • SAP experience
  • Mechanical apprenticeship
