Love working with your hands? Enjoy detail, accuracy and seeing a job done right? Step into a role where what you do really matters. We’re on the lookout for a Component Marking & Packing Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, safety and teamwork come first.
As a Marking & Packing Technician, you’ll be trusted with ensuring components are clearly identified, fully traceable and perfectly prepared for despatch. Your work will support the entire production flow.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Part marking components and assemblies using ink marking and laser engraving, in line with engineering drawings
- Packing parts for despatch, ensuring correct labelling, documentation and protection
- Interpreting assembly drawings and work instructions to identify part numbers, finishes, issues and process requirements
- Using route cards to confirm marking methods and obtaining serial numbers for full traceability
- Carrying out self-inspection and quality checks to required standards (including inspector stamping where authorised)
- Supporting Lean initiatives such as 5S and continuous improvement
- Completing SAP transactions relevant to the department
- Handling materials safely to prevent damage or accidents
- Monitoring tools and equipment, arranging recalibration or replacement where needed
- Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient working environment
Are you methodical, accurate and take pride in doing things properly. You’re comfortable following procedures but confident working independently when needed.
Essential experience & skills:
- Basic production packing experience in a similar environment
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Basic computer skills
- GCSE-level education or equivalent
