Based in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire, this is your opportunity to join a pioneering company at the cutting edge of aerospace safety technology.


What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work hands-on with some of the most critical components in our life-saving technology. Your responsibilities will include:

  • X-Ray Inspection – Using digital radiography (DR) and CT to detect anomalies or incorrect assembly in cartridge and rocket motor systems.
  • Proof Testing – Setting up and firing cartridges and motors to ensure reliability, followed by data analysis.
  • Leak Testing – Measuring helium escape rates using mass spectrometry to strict limits.
  • Visual Inspection – Ensuring all products meet exact engineering specifications.
  • Cartridge Assembly – Following precise instructions to assemble category 1 cartridges.
  • Part Marking & Packing – Ensuring everything is correctly marked and packed according to regulatory standards.
  • Manufacturing Support – Transporting materials, assisting with tooling, and supporting production needs.
  • Collaboration – Working alongside engineers, quality teams, stores, and production control to solve problems and drive performance.

Your Work Schedule

  • Now to End of 2025:
    Standard hours:
    Monday to Thursday – 08:00 to 16:45
    Friday – 08:00 to 12:00

  • From January 2026:
    Shift pattern:
    4 days on / 4 days off
    08:00 to 17:30 (177 shifts per year, including bank holidays)
    Shift allowance applies from 2026 onward.


Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking proactive, detail-driven individuals who enjoy technical challenges and working in a team. You’ll bring:

  • Experience in a similar NDT or technical role
  • Strong data analysis and self-inspection skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and route cards
  • Level 1 ASNT Radiography certification (desirable)
  • Experience with digital X-ray systems and mass spectrometry (desirable)
  • Familiarity with inspection procedures, ATPs, and QAI standards (desirable)
