Centreless Grinder - Mon to Thu - Permanent role for a well established aerospace company in Essex 

Location: Near Rochford, SS4
Salary: £40,000 equivalent to  £18.00–£21.00 per hour 
Hours: 37-hour week, Monday to Thursday

We are looking for an experienced Centreless Grinder to join our growing production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer, ideally with aerospace manufacturing experience, to work with high-quality components and precision engineering equipment.

The Role

As a Centreless Grinder, you will:

  • Set and operate Wickman Scrivener, Ghiringhelli, Cincinnati and Tschudin centreless grinding machines.
  • Carry out first-off and in-process inspections.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Work to tight tolerances using precision measuring equipment.
  • Support quality, efficiency and on-time delivery targets.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Centreless Grinder.
  • Ability to set and operate manual centreless grinding machines.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Experience using micrometers and inspection equipment.
  • Aerospace experience would be advantageous.
