We are looking for an experienced CNC Milling Programmer to join a leading aerospace manufacturer near Rochford.  This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Milling Programmer to work on precision aerospace components while developing new skills, including centreless grinding.

The Role

  • Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision aerospace components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
  • Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers to inspect components to tight tolerances
  • Machine a variety of materials including aluminium, stainless steel and Inconel
  • Complete machine maintenance checks and production documentation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping

What are the skills we require: 

  • Previous experience as a CNC Milling Programmer within a precision engineering or aerospace environment
  • Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
  • Programme, Set and Run Mills (including HAAS and Bridgeport)
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
  • Strong inspection skills using precision measuring equipment
  • Experience machining aluminium, stainless steel and Inconel
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • A positive team player with a proactive approach

Desirable

  • Centreless grinding experience
  • Run, Set 1st and 2nd Ops machining tools.
  • Thread rolling experience
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards
