Location: Watford (WD24)
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Overtime (x1.5) + Annual Bonus
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00, Friday 08:00 - 13:00
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

A precision engineering company in Watford is looking for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Programmer / Setter / Operator with Citizen or Star machine experience.

The business supplies high specification components to the aerospace industry and is expanding its CNC machining team.

Role overview:
As a CNC Sliding Head Setter / Programmer, you will set, program and operate Citizen or Star sliding head CNC lathes to produce small and medium batch precision components.

You will work to tight aerospace tolerances using materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, titanium and brass.

Key responsibilities:

• Programming and setting CNC sliding head lathes (Citizen or Star)
• First-off inspections and quality checks
• Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings
• Troubleshooting and supporting production performance
• Maintaining safe and clean working practices

Candidate requirements:

• Proven experience programming and setting Citizen or Star sliding head CNC machines
• Ability to work to aerospace tolerances
• Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Experience with stainless steel, aluminium, brass, titanium and similar materials
• Engineering apprenticeship preferred but not essential
