Location: West London
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 (DOE)
Hours: 40 hour week with flexible start and finish times

Are you an experienced Design Manager looking for your next challenge? Join one of the UK’s leading Architectural Metalwork and Structural Steelwork specialists! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team working on substantial projects from conception to completion.

Your role will include:

  • Managing the entire design process, including BIM, design assurance, and resource allocation
  • Solving complex architectural and bespoke metalwork challenges
  • Collaborating with architects, contractors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Ensuring all design deliverables meet budgetary and contractual requirements
  • Coordinating technical information and maintaining a high level of document control
  • Chairing regular design team meetings and managing design risk and mitigation strategies

Skills & Experience we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design management, preferably in metalwork and structural steel
  • Ability to interpret architect and engineer drawings
  • Tekla experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials (specifically metalwork), contracts, procurement, and health and safety legislation
  • Experience in risk management and cost control
