Job Description: Electrical Assembler 

Location: Slough, SL1

A leading manufacturer of water filtering systems is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Assembler to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for wiring and assembling electrical control panels and systems, ensuring they meet the highest quality and safety standards.

  • Full-time, Ongoing Temp to Perm role
  • Shift timings- Monday to Friday 08:00 am to 04:30 pm,
  • Rate: 11.50 per hour PAYE or up to £15.00 per hour Umbrella

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire electrical control panels according to technical drawings and schematics. Ensure all connections are secure and components are installed correctly.
  • Install various electrical components such as circuit breakers, relays, transformers, and terminal blocks within the control panels.
  • Conduct thorough testing and inspection of wired panels to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards. Identify and rectify any issues or faults.
  • Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure all panels meet company and industry standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and report any safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry advancements and best practices. Contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of back panel wiring techniques, and electrical components.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accurate and precise wiring and assembly.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy components.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
