Service Engineer – Field Based (UK & Overseas Travel Required)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join a specialist engineering service team. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits, including a company van and fuel card.

The Role
You will provide service, repair and commissioning support for specialist engineering machinery and equipment, ensuring customer requirements are met with a professional and timely approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs and modifications to machinery and equipment
- Commission new, modified and repaired equipment
- Provide telephone support and attend sites when required
- Complete accurate service records and documentation
- Work independently or as part of a team
- Travel across the UK and overseas when necessary
- Participate in an on-call rota to support out-of-hours requirements
Requirements
Essential
- Engineering or electronics background with at least 3 years’ experience
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic systems
- Completed recognised apprenticeship
- Full clean manual driving licence
- Flexible, professional and reliable approach
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Engineering or Electrical discipline
- Experience servicing heavy plant or specialist machinery
- Electronics knowledge and strong computer literacy
- Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
