Recruiting for an experienced Electrician –  Permanent Role travelling to various sites in London and surrounding areas  

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum plus company car

We are recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a leading manufacturer and installer of smart street infrastructure based in Hayes, Middlesex. This is a permanent vacancy offering excellent job security, a company vehicle, overtime opportunities and the chance to work on a wide range of street lighting and highway electrical projects across Greater London.

This Electrician role is ideal for someone with proven experience carrying out inspection and testing of highway electrical installations and who is confident signing off completed works. We are looking for an Electrician who enjoys working independently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Install and commission street lighting, illuminated street furniture and highway electrical infrastructure.
  • Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and reactive maintenance.
  • Complete electrical inspection and testing of installations.
  • Produce and sign off EICRs, Electrical Installation Certificates and Minor Works Certificates.
  • Ensure all work complies with BS7671, NICEIC standards and current Health & Safety regulations.
  • Work independently across multiple customer sites throughout Greater London.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • City & Guilds Level 2 & Level 3 Electrical Installation or recognised equivalent (NVQ Level 3, EAL or completed apprenticeship).
  • City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing or City & Guilds 714 Initial & Periodic Inspection Testing – Public Lighting (or recognised equivalent).
  • Safe Isolation 214 certification (or recognised equivalent).
  • Proven experience carrying out electrical inspection, testing and signing off completed works is essential.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Aged 25+ for vehicle insurance purposes.

Desirable

  • Experience working near DNO/IDNO equipment (G39 or 210).
  • 18th Edition BS7671.
  • NRSWA Streetworks.
  • Temporary Traffic Management.
  • Emergency First Aid at Work.
