Electronics Technician
Location: Langley, Berkshire
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
We are recruiting an experienced Electronics Technician to join a well-established electronics manufacturing business based in Langley.
The successful Electronics Technician will support the assembly, testing, fault-finding and repair of electronic products ranging from printed circuit boards through to complete electronic systems. This position would suit someone with strong practical electronics experience who is confident working with test equipment, circuit diagrams and component-level repairs.

The Role
- Testing electronic products, assemblies and completed systems
- Diagnosing faults and repairing failed electronic units
- Carrying out component-level fault-finding
- Reading and interpreting electronic circuit diagrams
- SMT soldering, rework and repair
- Inspecting electronic products and components
- Completing mechanical assembly of electronic sub-assemblies
- Supporting prototype builds and cable assembly where required
- Ensuring products are completed accurately and right first time
- Working closely with production, engineering and operations teams
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an Electronics Technician, Test Technician, Electronics Engineer or similar
- Experience assembling, testing and repairing electronic products
- Strong electronic fault-finding skills, ideally to component level
- Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams
- Confident using basic electronic test equipment
- SMT soldering and rework experience
- Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- A recognised electronics qualification or electronics apprenticeship would be advantageous
- IPC soldering experience would be beneficial
Experience working with PCB layouts, Altium, prototype manufacturing, cables, camera systems or regulated industries such as aerospace, defence, medical or automotive would also be advantageous.
The successful applicant must be willing and able to complete BPSS security clearance.
