Engineering Manager
Location: Harlow, CM20
Working Arrangement: On-site
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Working hours:
Mon – Thurs: 0730 to 1600
Friday: 0730 to 1230
We are recruiting an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop engineering and planning teams within a fast-paced technical environment. This position would suit an established engineering leader with strong project management capabilities, hands-on technical knowledge and experience delivering complex engineering projects.

The Role
- Lead, mentor and develop the engineering and planning teams
- Oversee engineering projects from initial planning through to successful delivery
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed quality, budget and timescale requirements
- Allocate resources and prioritise workloads effectively
- Work closely with Planning, Quality and senior management
- Drive technical decision-making and promote engineering best practices
- Identify production bottlenecks and improve engineering processes
- Provide regular updates regarding project progress, risks and key milestones
- Ensure engineering output complies with relevant regulatory and industry standards
- Manage approved technical data and publications
- Support the recruitment, onboarding and retention of engineering personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or at least five years’ equivalent industry experience at management level
- Minimum five years’ engineering experience
- At least two years’ experience in an engineering leadership or management position
- Previous experience within a Part 145 organisation would be highly advantageous
- Proven experience managing and delivering complex engineering projects
- Strong technical and hands-on engineering background
- Ability to confidently read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on quality, efficiency and innovation
- Comfortable working on-site within a fast-paced engineering environment
