We are recruiting an experienced Farnborough Line Station Engineer to join a well-established aviation maintenance operation based in Farnborough.

This is an excellent permanent opportunity for a qualified B1 or B2 Licensed Engineer with strong line maintenance and AOG experience, offering an attractive salary package and a highly desirable 7-on, 7-off shift pattern.

The Role

As the Farnborough Line Station Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and certification of aircraft line maintenance and AOG maintenance activities.

You will ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements, company procedures, the organisation's MOE and your individual licensed certification privileges.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing aircraft line and AOG maintenance inputs and projects
  • Certifying maintenance activities within your licence and company approval privileges
  • Responding to AOG requirements and being prepared for short-notice travel
  • Acting as a key point of contact for aircraft owners, operators and representatives
  • Maintaining clear communication with customers and internal departments throughout maintenance events
  • Ensuring work is completed in accordance with applicable state-of-registry regulations
  • Managing the AOG response vehicle, including equipment, stock levels and replenishment
  • Supporting base maintenance activities when not deployed on AOG assignments
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety
  • Identifying, assessing and helping to mitigate operational risks and hazards
  • Providing leadership, guidance and support to other members of the engineering team
  • Working closely with senior maintenance management and other departments

Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

  • Full unrestricted B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence
  • For B2 Engineers, appropriate electrical privileges
  • Recognised aircraft maintenance apprenticeship
  • Strong aircraft line maintenance experience
  • AOG maintenance/support experience
  • Experience and proficiency in engine ground run procedures
  • Experience carrying out risk assessments, such as HAZOP and Bowtie
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulatory and certification requirements
  • Excellent organisational and resource management skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer-facing skills
  • Good analytical ability
  • Competence using Microsoft 365, particularly Excel
  • Ability and willingness to travel at short notice when required
  • Excellent written and spoken English
