We are currently seeking a Finishing Operative to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in preparing precision metal components to exact finishing standards prior to further processing and assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate barrel tumbling and vibratory finishing equipment
- Prepare metallic components for further processing
- Mask bores, holes, slots, and critical areas prior to finishing
- Inspect parts to ensure quality and specification compliance
- Interpret part numbers, drawing revisions, ADRs, and process specifications
- Pack finished components for internal transport and storage
- Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and process control
Skills & Experience:
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Basic knowledge of measuring equipment and inspection processes
- Understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team-focused approach with a proactive attitude
