Finishing Operative - Anodising

We have a brand new vacancy for a Finishing Operative. This is an excellent opportunity to work on precision metal finishing processes, primarily anodising, contributing to the manufacture of life-saving equipment.

Role Responsibilities 

  • Operating manual and automated anodising equipment.
  • Masking components to protect bores, holes and slots from abrasive media.
  • Operating barrel tumbling and vibratory finishing equipment.
  • Carrying out surface preparation processes, including passivation and phosphating.
  • Undertaking inspection of finished components to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Following health and safety procedures, quality standards and COSHH regulations.

Requirements

  • Experience working with process chemicals in an anodising or metal finishing environment.
  • A basic manufacturing or engineering background.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures, quality assurance instructions and COSHH regulations.
  • SAP experience would be advantageous.
  • A strong eye for detail, a commitment to quality and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
