We’re recruiting for a Masking & Finishing Operative based in Denham (UB9) — you’ll play a vital role in producing precision aerospace components used in life-saving technology. If you’re hands-on, quality-focused and ready to grow your career, this is the role for you.
Ideal for candidates with finishing, paint prep, surface treatment, or aerospace manufacturing experience.
Key Duties:
You’ll join a specialist finishing team ensuring every component meets world-class standards. Daily tasks include:
- Masking and unmasking components and assemblies for paint spraying
- Abrasive cleaning using shot blasting equipment (grit, glass bead, aluminium oxide)
- Inspecting components to quality standards and carrying out self-inspection where authorised
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and job cards
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and housekeeping standards
- Working safely at all times in line with H&S and COSHH requirements
Essential Experience:
- Manufacturing or engineering background
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Experience with finishing, surface preparation, or similar shop-floor processes
- Good attention to detail
- Understanding of quality and health & safety procedures
