Finishing Operative – Masking / Abrasive Clean
Location: Denham, UB9
Salary: £35,593.68 per annum + Benefits
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00am – 17:00pm | Friday 08:00am – 12:00pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finishing Operative to join a leading aerospace manufacturing company based in Denham.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment supporting the production of safety critical aerospace components used within life saving technology.

The successful candidate will join a specialist finishing department responsible for masking, abrasive cleaning, and surface preparation processes completed to strict aerospace quality standards.

The Role:

• Masking and unmasking components prior to paint spraying
• Abrasive cleaning and shot blasting using grit, glass bead, and aluminium oxide media
• Surface preparation of precision engineered aerospace components
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, route cards, and job instructions
• Carrying out self inspection and quality checks where authorised
• Maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards within the department
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations

Requirements:

• Previous experience within masking, abrasive cleaning, shot blasting, paint preparation, or similar finishing processes
• Background within manufacturing, engineering, or precision production environments
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and COSHH regulations
• Aerospace or precision engineering experience would be highly advantageous
