Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum (Employed or Self-Employed)
Location: Colnbrook, SL3
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Floor Layer to join a growing and well-established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for long-term, stable work with opportunities for development.

The Role
As a Floor Layer, you will be responsible for installing a wide range of flooring materials to a high standard across various projects. You will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installing a variety of flooring including vinyl, marmoleum, planks, and carpet tiles
  • Hot welding and finishing floors to a high standard
  • Measuring and preparing floor areas accurately
  • Removing existing flooring and preparing subfloors (cleaning, levelling, smoothing)
  • Cutting materials to size and fitting around edges and obstacles
  • Applying adhesives, underlay, and finishing trims
  • Carrying out repairs or replacements of damaged flooring
  • Working from technical drawings or job specifications
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Following all health and safety procedures on-site

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Floor Layer with strong knowledge of installation techniques
  • Ability to work with a range of flooring materials
  • Good measuring and cutting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of finish
  • Ability to manage workload across multiple jobs
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Clear 5-year employment history and ability to pass a DBS check
  • Comfortable using online systems for job reporting (training provided)
