Graduate Business Development Manager
Location: Eton, Berkshire
Salary: £29,120 per annum + uncapped commission
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with one hour for lunch

MTS Recruitment is looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Graduate Business Development Manager to join our Manufacturing recruitment division.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident graduate who wants to build a career in recruitment, business development and professional sales. You will receive full training and ongoing support while developing relationships with manufacturing and engineering companies across the UK.
The role is primarily focused on identifying new business opportunities, speaking with prospective clients and helping to grow our established Manufacturing division.
The Role
- Research and identify manufacturing and engineering companies that could benefit from our recruitment services
- Contact prospective clients by telephone, email and LinkedIn
- Introduce MTS Recruitment and explain our recruitment services
- Build relationships with hiring managers and key decision-makers
- Identify current and future recruitment requirements
- Arrange client meetings for yourself and senior members of the team
- Develop new business accounts and maintain regular contact with clients
- Work closely with recruitment consultants and resourcers to fill vacancies
- Keep accurate records of client conversations and sales activity on our recruitment CRM
- Prepare quotations, proposals and terms of business
- Achieve agreed business development and activity targets
- Develop a strong understanding of the manufacturing and engineering recruitment market
What We Are Looking For
- Degree educated or equivalent
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercially minded with an interest in sales and business development
- Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with new clients
- Motivated by targets, progression and earning potential
- Organised, resilient and able to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong IT and computer skills
- Previous sales, customer service, recruitment or business development experience would be advantageous but is not essential
