About the Hydraulic Supervisor role

We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Supervisor to join our team at our Southend workshop. This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for testing, repairing, and overhauling hydraulic aviation components, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Hydraulic Supervisor Key Responsibilities

  • Perform testing, repair, and overhaul of hydraulic aviation components in line with OEM manuals
  • Ensure compliance with EASA Part 145 and internal quality standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant workshop environment
  • Produce accurate inspection reports and material assessments
  • Support cost estimation with detailed technical input
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce turnaround times
  • Conduct risk assessments and follow all safety procedures
  • Deliver high levels of quality and customer satisfaction
  • Carry out additional workshop duties as required

 

About You

  • Proven experience in a hydraulic aviation environment (essential)
  • Previous supervisory or senior technician experience (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of EASA Part 145 regulations
  • Experience with Skydrol and hydraulic oil test rigs
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and specifications
  • Good IT skills (MS Office and workshop systems)
  • Strong attention to detail and a safety-first approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Well-organised with the ability to prioritise workload
