Inspection Quality Engineer – Aviation, Near Uxbridge, UB9
£45k to £48k plus depending on experience
Mon to Fri – 8am to 5pm – early finish on Friday – 37.5 hours per week plus overtime

We are looking for an experienced Inspection Quality Engineer to join our Inspection Team near Uxbridge. This is an exciting opportunity for an Inspection Quality Engineer to play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest aerospace quality standards while supporting the manufacture of life-saving equipment.

What you'll be doing
As an Inspection Quality Engineer, you will:
- Plan First Article Inspection (FAI) activities using QPM/FAIR software.
- Complete First Article Inspections and Patrol Inspection Audits for customer deliverables.
- Review FAI documentation to ensure compliance with AS9102 and company quality requirements.
- Conduct follow-up Patrol Inspection Audits and support corrective actions.
- Create and maintain quality reports, inspection metrics and non-conformance records.
- Drive continuous improvement across inspection processes while ensuring compliance with AS9100 and the Quality Management System.
What we're looking for
- Quality Engineering or Inspection experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Aerospace experience is highly desirable.
- Must have a stable 5-year career history
- Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 First Article Inspection processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 2D/3D models.
- Experience using quality management systems, Microsoft Office and ideally Q-Pulse and SAP.
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
- HNC/HND, NVQ or equivalent engineering qualification (Engineering Apprenticeship desirable).
