The Role

MTS Recruitment is recruiting Installation Engineers with experience in civil works or mechanical assembly to install and maintain bus shelters and street furniture across the North East.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assembling, installing, dismantling, and maintaining bus shelters and associated street furniture.
• Carrying out excavation and reinstatement works on highways, where applicable.
• Setting up and removing traffic management signage in line with training and qualifications.
• Following safe systems of work and completing quality checks.
• Assisting with the safe use and management of vehicles, plant and materials.
• Working professionally with colleagues, customers and members of the public.

Occasional travel to other UK locations may be required.

Requirements

• Experience in either civil excavation and reinstatement works or mechanical assembly and installation.
• Full Category B driving licence.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Good understanding of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Strong communication skills and a reliable approach to work.

Desirable

• Experience installing on-street infrastructure.
• NRSWA Operative qualification.
• Understanding of temporary traffic management.
• LGV/HGV driving entitlement, Driver CPC or HIAB certification.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
