JIB / ECS Electrician

Location: Heathrow Airport
Pay: £25.26 per hour, PAYE, for the first 37.5 hours per week
Overtime: £36.21 per hour
Employment: PAYE only

MTS Recruitment is looking for an experienced Electrician to work on an ongoing project at Heathrow Airport.

The role will involve electrical installation and maintenance work across the airport, supporting project teams with a range of electrical duties in a busy construction environment.

The Role

Typical duties may include:

  • Electrical installation works
  • Containment, conduit and trunking
  • Cable pulling and termination
  • Lighting and power installation
  • Fault finding and maintenance
  • Working from electrical drawings and specifications
  • Supporting other trades and electrical teams as required
  • Working in accordance with Heathrow Airport security and site procedures

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold a valid ECS/JIB Gold Card
  • Be a qualified and experienced Electrician
  • Have previous commercial, construction or industrial electrical experience
  • Be able to pass the Heathrow Airside Pass application process
  • Have a clear DBS / criminal record
  • Be able to provide a 5-year checkable employment, self-employment and unemployment history
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Be reliable and able to work safely in a busy airport environment

Please note that the Heathrow Airside Pass process can take approximately 4–6 weeks, so candidates must be prepared to complete the full security clearance process before starting airside work.

All work at Heathrow is PAYE, on the books, with holiday pay accrued.
