Location: Oxfordshire
Hours: 37 hours per week (initial 6-month probation on days, then 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, 07:00–16:30)
Salary: £27,000 (plus shift allowance after 6 month probation)

 

Logistics Operative Job Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Operative to join our Stores Department within a highly regulated and precision-focused manufacturing environment.

You will play a key role in the preparation, handling, packing, and distribution of materials and components used in advanced engineering operations. This includes both standard hardware and controlled pyrotechnic items, requiring a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and compliance.

 

Logistics Operative Key Responsibilities

  • Pick items (including hardware and pyrotechnic materials) using Kardex storage systems
  • Book incoming goods into SAP accurately and efficiently
  • Deliver materials to production and process areas as required
  • Carry out regular stock checks for inventory accuracy
  • Pack, palletise, and label goods for internal and external shipment
  • Complete required documentation for dangerous goods transport (including ADR compliance)
  • Support the management of stores and controlled storage areas in line with 5S principles
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping at all times

 

Logistics Operative Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment

Basic understanding of health & safety procedures

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Team player with the ability to work independently when required

Reliable, focused, and safety-conscious approach to work
