This is a physically active role involving a lot of standing, picking, and packing in a busy industrial environment.

We offer

  • Salary: £26,822 + overtime potential @1.5
  • Hours: Mon–Thurs 08:00–17:00 | Fri 08:00–12:00 = 37.5 hours per week
  • Time off: Over Christmas to 5 January
  • Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays | 9% private pension | Free parking

The Role

As an Aerospace Stores Operative, you will:

  • Pick, pack, and label aerospace components to exact specifications
  • Handle parts used in industrial and aerospace manufacturing
  • Check batch numbers, quantities, and part details using SAP
  • Prepare items for on-time dispatch and internal production use
  • Carry out quality checks and maintain accurate records
  • Support goods inwards, stores, and logistics operations
  • Operate forklifts, pallet stackers, scissor lifts, and saws (training provided if required)

What We’re Looking For in a Stores Operative

  • Essential: Experience picking and packing in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, rail, defence, or precision engineering preferred
  • Comfortable with manual handling and long periods of standing
  • Familiar with tools, components, and material movement
  • Good IT skills (SAP experience advantageous)
  • Reliable with a stable 5-year work history
  • Proactive, detail-focused, and a strong team player
