Location: Denham, UB9
Salary: up to £28,000 per year + Possible overtime
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time, working 37 hours per week

A well-established manufacturing and engineering company is looking for a Logistics Packing Operative to join its busy operations team based in the Uxbridge area. This is a hands-on, permanent opportunity for someone with warehouse, stores, packing or logistics experience gained within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

The successful candidate will support the movement, packing and dispatch of components and materials, ensuring products are prepared accurately and delivered to strict quality and customer requirements. The role offers long-term stability, training opportunities and the chance to become multi-skilled across several logistics and stores functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking, packing and labelling products and components for dispatch
  • Checking batch numbers, quantities and part descriptions against SAP or internal systems
  • Ensuring all goods are packaged correctly and that delivery labels are accurate
  • Supporting dispatch schedules and liaising with logistics and shipping teams
  • Carrying out quality checks and self-inspection of completed work
  • Receiving materials and stock into stores from internal departments and suppliers
  • Operating within stores, internal transport and warehouse areas
  • Moving materials around the site using warehouse equipment
  • Supporting continuous improvement and 5S activities
  • Assisting with stock control and general warehouse duties

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a warehouse, stores, logistics or manufacturing environment
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Physically fit, reliable and motivated
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A full UK driving licence beneficial
  • Forklift experience or licence advantageous but not essential
