Location: Denham, UB9
Salary: £27,000 – £28,000 basic per annum (DOE) 
Bonus: 22.5% shift allowance for working shifts
Job Type: Permanent

A well-established manufacturing company based in West London, is seeking a reliable and organised Storeman to support its Tool Stores and manufacturing operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a structured and quality-driven team where efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement are key.

For those without their own transport, a shuttle bus is available from Uxbridge Station.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular stock cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Replenish Kanban stock locations across manufacturing areas
  • Issue tooling, fixtures, gauges and consumables to production teams
  • Support subcontractor tooling requests and ensure secure packaging for transport
  • Process tooling transfers and maintain accurate records within the tooling management system
  • Receive delivered tooling and consumables and ensure correct storage
  • Support weekly tooling and consumables dispatch requirements
  • Assist with gauge calibration processes and report discrepancies
  • Book reconditioned tooling back into stock
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience working in stores, warehouse or manufacturing environments
  • Basic understanding of health & safety procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and organised working approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and teamwork ability
  • Basic IT skills (Word & Excel)
  • Reliable, punctual and motivated work ethic

Desirable:

  • Experience with tooling, gauges or manufacturing consumables
  • Knowledge of stock control or automated tooling systems
  • Continuous improvement or 5S experience
