Hours: 37 hours per week, with an early finish on Fridays

We are recruiting a Materials Operative to join a busy manufacturing company based in Windsor.
This is a temporary position for six months and is not currently expected to become permanent. Applicants must therefore be available and able to commit to the full assignment.
Due to the location and limited public transport links, having your own transport would be advantageous.

The Role
The Materials Operative will support the efficient receipt, storage and movement of materials throughout the business.
Duties will include:
- Receiving and checking incoming materials and components
- Booking goods into the stock-control system
- Picking and issuing materials to production departments
- Moving stock safely around the site
- Maintaining accurate stock records
- Carrying out regular stock checks
- Reporting damaged, missing or incorrect items
- Ensuring materials are stored and labelled correctly
- Keeping the stores and materials areas clean and organised
- Supporting the wider materials and production teams when required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a materials, stores, warehouse or manufacturing role
- Good attention to detail
- Basic computer and data-entry skills
- Ability to maintain accurate stock records
- A reliable and punctual approach to work
- Ability to handle and move materials safely
- Availability to commit to the full six-month contract
- Reliable transport to Windsor due to limited public transport links
