Mechanical Assembly Operative – Immediate Start Available Loughton IG10- Essex
Are you an experienced Mechanical Assembly Operative looking for an immediate start with a reputable engineering company? We are currently recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Assembly Operative to join a growing team in Loughton (IG10), offering long-term stability and the potential to secure a permanent position.
Pay Rates:
- £13.00 per hour (PAYE) up to 39 hours per week
- £17.29 per hour after 39 hours
- £19.50 per hour on Saturdays
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
- 39 hours per week + regular overtime available
This is an ongoing, full-time temporary role with a strong opportunity to go permanent for the right Mechanical Assembly Operative.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for assembling large folding and inserting machines, ensuring all builds meet industry standards and are completed within set timeframes. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, technical understanding, and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble machinery using small hand tools in line with technical drawings and build plans
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Carry out general wiring tasks related to machinery assembly
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth production processes
- Configure and fine-tune machinery for optimal performance
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Assembler or in a similar manufacturing role
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and specifications
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment
