Mechanical Assembly Technician – Cryogenic Equipment
Location: Acton, West London, easy access by public transport
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum + 1.5x overtime equivalent to £14.50 to £18.00 p/h 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible start between 5:00am – 8:00am, 30-minute lunch)
Benefits: 20 days holiday + bank holidays, 4% pension

Our team designs and builds advanced equipment for handling extremely low temperatures, including storage tanks, dewars, pumps, compressors, and complete cryogenic systems for industries like medical and energy 

We’re seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician who thrives in a hands-on, high-precision environment and can contribute to building high-value, complex machinery. This isn’t just assembly – you’ll be building, shaping, and shaping solutions that matter.

What you’ll do as a Mechanical Assembly Technician 

  • Work in a team of 12–15  to manufacture and assemble cryogenic equipment
  • Fabricate and build specialized systems including freezers, chillers, valves, and piping networks
  • Perform soldering and brazing to create permanent, precise joints
  • Bend and shape pipes for space-saving and complex layouts
  • Fit, assemble, and repair high-value components using technical drawings and hand tools
  • Carry out marking out, centre punching, and other precision layout work
  • Operate hand drills, floor drills, and other workshop equipment
  • Conduct some basic wiring and sheet metal work

Skills & experience we’re looking for: 

  • High-level all-round mechanical experience
  • Aerospace or motorsport manufacturing background preferred
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems on the fly
  • Excellent hand tool proficiency and attention to detail
