Mechanical Fitter

We require experienced Mechanical fitters for our industry who have a mechanical assembly background.

Core Responsibilities   

  • Overhaul of mechanical equipment within a workshop environment
  • Mechanical fitting, assembly, strip, survey, and test
  • Read drawings, identify components, and assemble and/or repair mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain good quality and efficiency.
  • Flexibility of skills to carry out testing, basic wiring, and mechanical fitting.
  • Maintain good housekeeping, awareness of and adherence to health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to complete technical documentation as work progresses.
  • To perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

Professional Experience & Education  

  • A minimum of five years of mechanical fitting is required, preferably for rotating equipment (We need experienced applicants from an engineering workshop environment)
  • Ability to work to strict quality guidelines within ISO9001 and RISAS
  • Preferably time-served apprentice trained, but must have relevant qualifications i.e., mechanical engineering.
  • A working knowledge of safety systems such as Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments will be advantageous.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5s and knowledge of the 7 wastes would be beneficial, but not crucial.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills.
  • A flexible approach to meet customer demands.

 Employees must pass a Drug and Alcohol-related Medical upon starting within the Company.

Package Details:-

  • Permanent Contract.
  • 36.5 working week; 07:00 – 15:00 Mon – Thurs and Fri 07:00 13:30.
  • £34k (dependent on experience).
