We’re recruiting Mechanical Fitters for a well-established manufacturer in Croydon. You’ll work in a workshop overhauling and assembling mechanical equipment, including transmissions, gear units, couplers and cooler groups.

The Role

• Strip, survey, repair, assemble and test mechanical equipment.
• Read engineering drawings and identify components.
• Carry out mechanical fitting and, where required, testing and basic wiring.
• Complete technical documentation and work to quality and safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical fitting experience in a workshop or similar environment.
• Experience with rotating equipment would be an advantage.
• The ability to read drawings and work to strict quality requirements.
• An apprenticeship or relevant qualification is preferred.
• Knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, or lean manufacturing would be useful.
