Packing Operative

Location: Chalgrove, Oxfordshire
Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 per year 
Shifts: Monday - Thursday 8 am-5 pm, Friday 8 am-12noon

As a Pyro Packing Operative in the Pyro Manufacturing Department, you’ll be responsible for packing and palletising cartridge sets and rocket motors that contribute to the success of life-saving ejection seats.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, package, and label goods for dispatch with complete documentation.
  • Maintain accurate stock tracking using SAP.
  • Receive and reconcile materials and goods with production records.
  • Mark and safely store materials, adhering to safety and ER14 regulations.
  • Operate and maintain packing machinery to ensure efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or stores environment with basic packing skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP and health & safety regulations.
  • Dangerous Goods certification (Air, Sea, and Road) and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
