We are currently recruiting for an experienced Powder Coater to join a well-established manufacturing company based in West Byfleet, KT14.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week and paying £18.00 per hour. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and powder coating a range of metal and aluminium components, ensuring a consistent, high-quality finish.

The Role

  • Prepare metal and aluminium components ready for powder coating
  • Clean surfaces to remove grease, dirt, rust and other contaminants
  • Mask and plug components where required prior to coating
  • Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray guns
  • Adjust powder flow and spray gun settings to achieve the correct finish
  • Ensure an even and consistent coating thickness
  • Monitor oven temperatures and curing times
  • Inspect finished components for coverage, consistency and quality
  • Identify and rectify defects in the coating process
  • Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance of powder coating equipment and spray booths
  • Maintain powder coating materials and consumable stock levels
  • Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and production targets

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Powder Coater or Industrial Paint Sprayer
  • Confident using electrostatic powder coating spray equipment
  • Experience preparing metal components prior to coating
  • Good understanding of coating thickness, curing processes and finishing standards
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and correct coating defects
  • Able to work independently and as part of a production team
  • Good awareness of health and safety procedures within a manufacturing environment
