Our client is a leading, award-winning designer, manufacturer, and installer of high-quality street furniture, signage, smart city solutions, and digital display systems.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic manufacturing team at our Hayes facility.

 

The Production Manager Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Production Manager with experience in sheet metal, fabrication, or manufacturing environments.

Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing production activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

 

Production Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor production workloads to meet customer deadlines
  • Analyse machine and labour capacity to optimise production schedules
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
  • Track production performance (estimated vs actual time) and provide feedback for future planning
  • Manage and expedite materials and components from external suppliers
  • Maximise efficiency using the company’s MRP system
  • Troubleshoot production issues, including staffing or equipment challenges
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safe systems of work
  • Manage team performance in line with company and HR processes
  • Investigate non-conformance issues and carry out root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and output
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, health & safety, and company policies

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a sheet metal, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering/assembly drawings
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work under pressure
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • A team player who builds strong working relationships

 

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Counterbalance Forklift Licence
  • Experience with MRP/production planning systems
