Project Manager

We are recruiting for experienced Project Managers with an engineering background – Remote closer to North Midlands  - M62 Corridor area( Manchester/Bolton/Preston/Leeds

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing organisation delivering high-profile projects across the construction and transport sectors. If you have an engineering background and enjoy managing projects from start to finish, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Your duties will include:

  • Managing projects from planning through to completion.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Managing project budgets, costs and profitability.
  • Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and project resources.
  • Managing contracts, variations, risks and commercial activities.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety standards are met throughout every project.

What we're looking for

The successful Project Manager will have:

  • Engineering experience within the construction or infrastructure sector (essential).
  • Strong project management experience delivering multiple projects.
  • Excellent commercial and client management skills.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
  • The ability to work independently and make informed decisions.

Preferred experience

  • Knowledge of street and highways works, including permits, utilities and relevant legislation.
  • Experience with street furniture, signage, architectural metalwork or similar installation projects.
  • Understanding of NEC and JCT contracts.
  • CSCS Card, SMSTS, IOSH or NRSWA Supervisor qualification (advantageous).
  • Experience of highways and traffic management works.
