  • Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30

About the Quality Manager Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Manager to lead and develop the Quality function across three manufacturing facilities. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout the business, overseeing compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge, excellent people management skills, and a proven track record within a manufacturing environment.

Quality Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise and develop a team of Inspectors, Chief Inspectors and Quality Engineers.
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), quality strategy, policies, processes and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100 and other applicable quality requirements.
  • Produce inspection reports and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
  • Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
  • Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Host and support internal, customer and third-party audits.
  • Ensure audit findings are addressed and closed out effectively.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies regarding quality matters.
  • Monitor production quality performance and conduct periodic quality control checks.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality and operational performance.
  • Ensure supplier materials meet quality requirements prior to release into production.
  • Deliver training and support to quality and operational teams as required.
  • Maintain accurate quality records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential

  • Previous experience in a Quality Manager or senior quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards.
  • Experience conducting and hosting internal and external audits.
  • Proven experience managing quality teams and developing staff.
  • Knowledge of non-conformance management, MRB processes, root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
  • Experience using ERP systems and quality management software.
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, results-driven approach with a focus on continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Aerospace, engineering or precision manufacturing experience.
  • Experience using Q-Pulse or similar quality management systems.
  • Formal quality qualifications or auditor certifications.
