Senior Corporate Aircraft Mechanic Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Aircraft Mechanic to join our Engineering team at our Stansted maintenance facility. The successful candidate will support Licensed Engineers in the delivery and coordination of aircraft maintenance activities within a designated zone, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory and company standards.

You will also act as deputy to the Licensed Engineer when required, taking responsibility for supervising and controlling maintenance activity within your allocated area.

 

Senior Corporate Aircraft Mechanic Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out and supervise aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with approved technical data
  • Ensure all maintenance documentation, work cards, and records are accurately completed
  • Organise and supervise technicians and contract staff within your allocated zone
  • Ensure compliance with all company procedures, aviation regulations, and Health & Safety requirements
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across hangar and workshop areas
  • Support aircraft towing operations using company tug equipment
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and vehicles are properly maintained
  • Assist Licensed Engineers with raising work cards and requisitions
  • Provide clear daily progress updates via reports and shift meetings
  • Support continuous improvement in productivity, efficiency, and cost control

 

Senior Corporate Aircraft Mechanic Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar aircraft maintenance role
  • Completion of a recognised aircraft mechanic apprenticeship
  • Strong understanding of aviation maintenance standards and practices
  • Competent in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Full clean UK driving licence
