Location: Hayes, Middlesex
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Sales Estimator to join a leading UK manufacturer specialising in bespoke signage, street furniture, architectural metalwork and fabricated infrastructure products. The Role

We are seeking a commercially minded and technically capable Sales Estimator to strengthen an established team. You will be responsible for managing enquiries from initial enquiry through to quotation, developing relationships with clients, and helping secure new business opportunities.

This role would suit someone with previous estimating and sales experience within fabrication, engineering, architectural metalwork, street furniture, construction or a similar manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing incoming sales enquiries and client requests
  • Liaising with customers to fully understand project requirements
  • Reviewing technical drawings, specifications and tender documents
  • Obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and commercial proposals
  • Following up on quotations and negotiating opportunities
  • Promoting the company's manufacturing and design capabilities
  • Working closely with internal departments to maximise business opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate sales forecasts and reporting information
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through a professional and customer-focused approach.

About You

To be successful in this position, you should have:

  • Previous experience in sales estimating within engineering, manufacturing, architectural metalwork, street furniture or construction sectors
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • A technical, engineering or construction-related background.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) sales processes
  • Knowledge of local authority procurement frameworks and public sector tendering
  • Experience selling engineered or bespoke manufactured products.
