Sheet Metal Fabrication Operator

We are recruiting for both Junior Sheet Metal Fabrication Operator and Experienced Sheet Metal Fabrication Operator positions to join a busy manufacturing company near Stansted Airport.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to develop their skills or for experienced operators seeking a long-term role within a quality-focused engineering environment.

Sheet Metal Fabrication Operator Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication machinery including guillotines, bandsaws, and presses
• Read and work from engineering drawings
• Measure, mark out, and fabricate sheet metal components
• Use measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met
• Assemble components as required
• Follow health and safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and organised work area

Sheet Metal Fabrication Operator Requirements

Junior Candidates

• Reliable and eager to learn
• Good attention to detail
• Manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential

Experienced Candidates

• Previous sheet metal fabrication experience
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Experience using fabrication machinery
• Aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering experience is desirable
