Steel Erectors / Fitters – Heathrow Airport Nights

Location: Heathrow Airport
Hours: 20:00 to 04:30, 40 hours per week
Rate: £31.92 per hour
Start: End of October / beginning of November 2026

MTS Recruitment is looking for experienced Steel Erectors / Fitters to work on a night shift project at Heathrow Airport.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced steel fitters and erectors looking for well-paid night work at Heathrow. Due to the airside security process, candidates are encouraged to apply now for an October/November start.

Important – Airside Pass

The Heathrow Airside Pass application process can take approximately 4 to 6 weeks to complete.

The Role

You will be carrying out steel erection and fitting duties within Heathrow Airport, including installation and assembly of structural and secondary steelwork.

Duties may include:

• Erecting and installing structural steelwork
• Fitting steel components, brackets and associated metalwork
• Working from drawings and site instructions
• Using access equipment including MEWPs
• Working safely within an airport construction environment
• Assisting with positioning, aligning and securing steelwork

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card
• Valid IPAF ticket
• Previous experience as a Steel Erector / Steel Fitter
• Able to work night shifts
• Must be able to obtain a Heathrow Airside Pass
• Clear DBS / criminal record required
• Full 5-year checkable employment, education and/or unemployment history required for the airside pass application
• Reliable and able to commit to the project
