MTS Recruitment is currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Steel Workshop Labourer to join a busy steel fabrication workshop based in Basingstoke.
This is an immediate start and an excellent opportunity for someone looking for stable, ongoing long-term work within a busy engineering and steel fabrication environment.

The Role
Duties will include:
- Assisting steel fabricators and welders within the workshop
- Moving and handling steel sections, materials and components
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Preparing materials for fabrication
- Using basic hand and power tools where required
- Grinding, cleaning and preparing steel components
- Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and organised
- General workshop and labouring duties
- Assisting with the movement of finished fabricated steelwork
- Following all site health and safety procedures
Requirements
Previous experience working within a steel workshop, fabrication shop, engineering workshop or similar industrial environment would be beneficial.
You must be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and working in a busy workshop environment.
Candidates must be reliable, hardworking and available to start immediately.
