Our client is a precision engineering company with an excellent reputation for quality, reliability, and logistics expertise. They are looking for a Stores / Production Assistant (Goods In/Out Operative) to join their expanding team in Bicester.

Role Overview

As a Stores / Production Assistant, you will ensure the smooth running of the stores, warehouse, and logistics operations. The role involves:

  • Goods in/out operative duties, including receiving and checking deliveries.
  • Forklift driving, warehouse operations, and stock control tasks.
  • Picking, packing, wrapping, and dispatching goods.
  • Supporting production and manufacturing teams as required.

This is a varied warehouse / logistics / stores operative role, perfect for candidates with goods in/out or production assistant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, check, and book in deliveries into the warehouse.
  • Store, locate, and issue goods accurately within the stores and logistics function.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare items for dispatch.
  • Carry out loading/unloading and forklift driving.
  • Maintain accurate stock control records in the system.
  • Support production and assist as a stores operative / production assistant in daily operations.
  • Keep a clean, tidy, and compliant working environment at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a stores operative, production assistant, warehouse operative, or goods in/out operative.
  • Forklift licence (preferred) and confident in forklift operations.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Computer literacy for stock control input and logistics systems.
  • A clean driving licence.
  • Knowledge of aerospace, engineering, or precision manufacturing is an advantage.
