Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday, 7:30am–4:00pm,
Friday, 7:30am–12:30pm

The Opportunity

MTS Recruitment is looking for a skilled TIG Welder to join our client's workshop team in Harlow, CM20. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welder to carry out repair work on a variety of steel and stainless steel components within an engineering environment.

We are looking for someone with strong TIG welding skills, good practical engineering abilities, and a professional approach to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out TIG welding repairs on a range of steel and stainless steel components.
  • Complete all assigned tasks professionally, safely, and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate technical records of work completed, including references to the technical data used.
  • Carry out blend repairs and minor engineering adjustments.
  • Manage your workload effectively to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven proficiency in TIG welding.
  • Must hold or have previously held a recognised welding qualification.
  • Experience working with steel and stainless steel components.
  • Practical engineering skills, including blend repairs and minor adjustments.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your own time effectively.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience within the aerospace industry, although this is not essential.
  • BCAR A8-10 welding approval.
  • AWS D17.1 or BS EN ISO 9606 welding qualifications.
  • Ability to obtain BCAR A8-10 approval for the required material groups and configurations.
